Acceptance of Terms

By using coatinglab.co.nz or engaging Coating Services Limited (trading as Coating Lab) to provide services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or engage our services.

Services

Coating Lab provides powder coating, sandblasting, wet spray painting, zinc arc wire spray, custom flashings, and metal folding services. All work is subject to inspection and assessment of items received. Quotes are estimates based on information provided; final pricing may vary based on the actual condition of items once inspected.

Consumer Guarantees Act 1993

Services supplied to consumers come with guarantees under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) that cannot be excluded. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes consumer rights under the CGA.

For commercial or trade customers acquiring services for the purposes of a business, the guarantees under the CGA are excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Coating Services Limited's total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with our services is limited to the price paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Coating Services Limited is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of use, or loss of opportunity.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers must provide accurate and complete project information, including details about the items to be coated, the desired finish, and any relevant specifications or requirements.

Items left at the workshop for more than 30 days after completion notification may incur storage charges. Items left for more than 90 days after completion notification may be disposed of after reasonable written notice has been given to the customer.

Payment Terms

Payment terms are as agreed per quote. Coating Lab reserves the right to retain items until payment is received in full (possessory lien under the Property Law Act 2007).

Intellectual Property

All website content, images, and branding on coatinglab.co.nz are owned by Coating Services Limited unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website without prior written permission.

Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will first be addressed through direct communication between the parties. If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, it may be referred to:

• The Disputes Tribunal of New Zealand (for claims under $30,000)
• Mediation through an agreed independent mediator

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. The courts of New Zealand have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these terms.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at coatinglab.co.nz/terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
