Coating Lab folds custom rainwater goods from our workshop in Onehunga, Auckland. Box gutters, internal gutters, fascia, spouting, rainwater heads and sumps are all made to your measurements — not bought off the shelf. If a standard gutter profile does not suit the roof, we fold one that does.

Because we run a press brake alongside our powder coating line, we can fold rainwater goods and finish them with one team. That is a real advantage on box and internal gutters, where the profile is often specific to the building and the colour needs to match the roof or cladding. We fold it, coat it if needed, and you deal with a single point of contact for the whole order.

We fold box and internal gutters to your drawings or measurements, including matching upstands, cover flashings and stop-ends. If your detail calls for it, we also produce the associated roof flashings and parapet cappings in the same material and colour, so the whole junction goes together cleanly on site.

Box gutters and internal gutters usually need somewhere to discharge. We fabricate rainwater heads, sumps and overflows to suit your downpipe layout and the capacity of the gutter. These are made pieces — fabricated and folded from sheet — so we can build them to the size, outlet and overflow arrangement your detail calls for.

Materials & Finishes

Rainwater goods live outdoors, so material choice matters. We fold box gutters, fascia and spouting from the metals commonly used across New Zealand roofing and building work:

Colorsteel — pre-painted steel in the common roofing colours, folded straight off the coil for gutters, fascia and spouting
Aluminium — lightweight and naturally corrosion-resistant, a good choice for coastal sites and can be powder coated to colour
Zincalume — for a bare metallic finish where a painted colour is not required
Galvanised steel — for structural and general rainwater components

Where you need a specific colour that is not available pre-painted, we can powder coat the finished item to match your building. Surface preparation such as blasting is arranged as required as part of the job.
